Andreas was a steady member of the TYPO3 community. I had the opportunity to collaborate with him on various occasions, but in particular on the l10nmgr extension and it was a smooth and pleasant process. Whatever each person's beliefs may be, I'm sure that there's a place for nice people after death and that Andreas is there.
Though we where never more then just two guys in this community, meeting occasionally on dev days, chatting over twitter or facebook. We where both the silver backs in the community, but I know he was way more involved and spend a lot of time to make this community work. Always friendly always with a smile. Truly inspiring, he will be missed.
I met Andras through TYPO3 (of course) and I still remember his positive attitude and how we presented an introduction to source code management together during the TYPO3 snowboard tour in 2005. It was the kind of "immediately pleasing working mode” you don’t have often.
I'll keep Andreas in my Heart as the very friendly and smiling person he was. We always had a very good time on the snowboard tours and other Events. I offer my condolences to all his friends and family. May you find the strength to get along with this loss.
